Divorce & Family Mediation M. Christine Burt, Attorney
Law Office of Edward C. Burt Jr., PC

M. Christine Burt
Christine Burt has been helping clients and the judicial system make fair and equitable resolutions. Her experience, knowledge, and attention to detail have helped resolve many cases — uncomfortable or straightforward — in a pleasant manner over the past twenty years.

Combining her Family Support Magistrate background with her extensive experience as a lawyer, Christine now helps families through the difficult process of divorce and separation as an Attorney Divorce Mediator.

Christine received her law degree from Western New England College School of Law in 1984. She is an active member of many associations: the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the American, Connecticut and New Haven County Bar Associations. She has also been an associate adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University for over three years.

Since 1993, Christine’s emphasis and focus has been on domestic relations while working as an attorney at the Law Offices of Edward C. Burt, JR., P.C. In 1999, she was appointed a Family Support Magistrate in Connecticut by the governor and served in that capacity until 2002. In addition, for over five years, Christine served as a Motor Vehicle and Small Claims Magistrate for several courts throughout Connecticut. From 1984 through 1993, she served as an assistant clerk, chief clerk, and trial court administrator for the Judicial Branch of the state of Connecticut.
